Waterwood II, a deed-restricted community, was developed in June,1979 by Robert F. Harper, III, W. William Ellsworth, Jr. and William Mc Carter of Lakeland, Florida.

The subdivision is located 1 mile south of Highland City, immediately SE of Lakeland, and 3 miles north of Bartow, Florida, on the east side of Bartow Road. (Hwy. 98 South.)

Consisting of 84 uniquely-shaped lots, the neighborhood is tucked away amid stately oaks and hidden in view from the highway. 

Recreation courts are centrally located and are for the use of residents only.  The courts include basketball, tennis, pickle ball and a return volley wall.  These courts are not for roller skating or any kind of wheeled vehicle.      Camera surveillance is active.  Use of the courts is limited - 9AM until dusk only.

Dues:

Property Owners Association dues are set by the association at the annual meeting and are due by February 1 of each year.

2025 Dues: $250 for the year, with a $50 discount if paid by February 1st.
